The Solid Brass O-Ring option is designed to be strong and durable enough for everyday use and securely attaching a leash. It is ideal for dogs that are not at risk of escaping or pulling out of their collar. However, please note: this O-ring is not removable, so it's important to carefully measure your dog's head to ensure the collar fits comfortably over their head before use.

For dogs that may try to slip out of their collar or require more flexibility, we recommend considering an alternative style. This collar is best suited for dogs who are well-trained and not prone to trying to escape when off-leash.

The Round Carabiner closure option is perfect for easy on-and-off without having to slide it over your dog's head. However, please be aware: the carabiner is not designed to withstand pulling on a leash. It is intended for lightweight use and should not be relied upon for situations where heavy leash pulling may occur.

Always assess your dog's behavior and activity level when choosing the right collar to ensure both comfort and safety!

To measure for a beaded collar, use a soft measuring tape to wrap around the neck where you want the collar to sit, ensuring a snug fit but not too tight, and take the measurement at the point where the tape meets; this is the circumference of the neck that you'll need for your beaded collar. This style of collar is typically meant to be worn slightly "looser" thank typical collars

If you're wanting the Solid Brass O-Ring Closure style, please measure around the widest part of your dog's neck.

Key points to remember:

Placement: Measure around the neck where the collar will naturally sit, usually slightly lower on the dog's neck

No pulling: Do not pull the tape too tight when measuring. 

Bead size:Depending on the bead size, you might need to adjust the measurement slightly to accommodate the thickness of the beaded strand.
